  • 1 Oreo Cookie
  • 2 tsp. red decorating icing
  • 6 semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Mini Oreo Cookie
  • ¼ tsp. white decorating icing
  • 2 pieces black string licorice (1 inch each)
  • Split large Oreo Cookie, leaving all the creme filling on one half. Cut filling-covered piece in half for the ladybug's wings; spread some of the red icing onto opposite (plain) sides of wings. Gently press chocolate chips into icing.
  • Stand Mini Oreo Cookie on plain cookie half for the ladybug's head, securing with red icing. Stand wings, cut sides down and at slight angle, on opposite sides of mini cookie, securing with remaining red icing.
  • Use white icing to attach licorice pieces to the ladybug's head for the antennae.

  • Variation
    Substitute white ready-to-spread frosting for the red decorating icing; tint with red food colouring before using as directed. Use plain white frosting to attach licorice pieces to the ladybug's head.
