Poached Pears with Crumble & Cream Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh pears, halved and cored
  • 1/3 cup coarsely crushed Honey Maid Wafers
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar blend sugar replacement
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • 2 Tbsp. roasted almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup thawed Cool Whip Light Whipped Topping

Instructions

  • Arrange  pears, cut-sides up, in 8-inch square microwaveable dish. Add next 5 ingredients; cover with waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH 6 to 8 min. or until pears are tender.
  • Combine  chopped cookies and nuts.
  • Place  pears, cut-sides up, in dessert dishes; drizzle each with 2 Tbsp. of the cooking liquid. Discard any remaining cooking liquid. Top pears with nut mixture and Cool Whip.

Recipe Tips

Special ExtraGarnish each dessert with an additional cinnamon stick.
