OREO-White Chocolate Irish Cream Pots de Creme Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup half-and-half
  • 1 pkg. (170 g) white baking chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. Irish cream liqueur
  • Oreo Cookies, coarsely chopped
  • 6 Mini Oreo Cookies

Instructions

  • Whisk  first 3 ingredients in saucepan until blended; cook on medium-low heat 8 to 12 min. or until thickened to custard-like consistency (160ºF), stirring constantly.
  • Pour  over combined chocolate and liqueur in bowl; stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in chopped cookies. Spoon into 6 (85-mL) dessert cups. Cool 15 min. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
  • Top  each with mini Oreo just before serving.

Non-Alcoholic VariationSubstitute 1/4 cup orange, lemon or lime juice for the liqueur. For added citrus flavour, stir in 4-1/2 tsp. orange, lemon or lime zest with the chopped cookies.
