One-Bite Apple "Pie" with Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 small Granny Smith apple, cut into 32 thin slices
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 8 wedges (16.5 g each) foil-wrapped original process cheese product
  • 16 Triscuit Low Sodium Crackers
  • 1/2 tsp. flaked sea salt

Instructions

  • Cook  butter and water in small skillet on medium-low heat until butter is melted.
  • Add  apples and cinnamon; stir until evenly coated with butter. Cover; cook on medium heat 3 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Stir  in sugar; cook, uncovered, 2 to 3 min. or until apples are tender, stirring frequently.
  • Unwrap  cheese, then cut in half; place on crackers.
  • Top  with apple mixture and salt.

Recipe Tips

Special ExtraDrain cooked apple slices before placing on the cheese-topped crackers. Drizzle lightly with warmed caramel sauce; sprinkle with salt.

SubstituteSubstitute a fresh pear for the apple.
