Old-Fashioned RITZ-Topped Baked Mac & Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg.  (225 g) macaroni and cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 can (19 fl oz/540 mL) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 20 Ritz Crackers, crushed (about 1 cup)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat  oven to 375°F. Add Macaroni to large saucepan of boiling water; cook 6 min. or until tender. Drain. Stir in milk and Cheese Sauce Mix.
  • Pour  into greased 8-inch square baking dish; top with tomatoes. Mix cracker crumbs and butter; sprinkle over tomatoes.
  • Bake  15 min. or until casserole is heated through and topping is golden brown.

Recipe Tips

SubstituteYou can replace the crushed crackers with 1 cup fresh bread crumbs. Just process day-old bread in food processor until fine crumbs form. Then, use as directed.
